Julia Maillet Lenzi is an environmental lawyer, sustainability consultant, and social and environmental risk specialist with over 15 years of experience, working internationally across Europe and Latin America.

Holds a Law degree from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, an MBA in Agribusiness from ESALQ/USP, and an MSc in Environmental Conservation and Biodiversity from Trinity College Dublin — a formation that crosses borders. Much like her life.

​

Built her career at leading law firms such as Machado Meyer and BMA, at boutique firms specialising in environmental law, at the multinational Natura&Co, and as Head of Risk and Sustainability at ECCON. In 2019, she joined Vale's crisis management committee during the Brumadinho dam collapse — an experience that deepened her understanding of corporate responsibility, crisis management, and the role of leadership in the most challenging of moments. She contributed to the drafting of Brazil's Biodiversity Act (Law 13,123/2015) and led from scratch one of the largest reforestation programmes in Latin America.

In 2019, she moved to Dublin to pursue her Master's degree. In 2022, she relocated to Barcelona. Not by chance — but because she believes that understanding the world requires living it.

Julia moves with ease between law and strategy, between science and business, between Brazil, Latin America, and Europe, between the technical and the human. This ability to connect disciplines, cultures, and perspectives is what makes her work truly distinctive.

She understands the complexities of Brazil's regulatory, land tenure, and social environment — indigenous issues, territorial overlaps, supply chains — and knows how to translate that reality for European investors and companies.
